We have a lab/pit mix and he loves the hardness! Bones is a black dog and we walk in the early mornings. It's great to know cars will be able to see us when it's still dark out!
It fits him very well and was a feral dog so he needed something that was really secure because we’re still earning his trust. He prances like a good whenever he wears it.
I tried this for my dog who is 17" back length from base of neck to base of tail, 12" around neck, and 20.5" around chest. Unfortunately it didn't fit well, it was too big in the front and couldn't be tightened more. However, I contacted them and they very generously sent a free Passport harness to try and that fits quite nicely. One other thing I should mention about the Gunnison harness was that even though it seemed quite sturdy, three of the clasps were very hard to open, so if you have weak fingers, take that into consideration.
Our rescue dog is much easier to control with the harness. We have used both leash attachments depending on what the situation is.
It was beautifully made, fit amazingly and we love the handle on the back.
